Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead 4th VII vs  King's College School (KCS), Wimbledon
On: Saturday, 11 Mar 2017
Venue: at Home

This weekend saw the 4th VII have an incredible victory against KCS Wimbledon, beating this team 34-17. The 4th VII got of to an incredible start, winning the first quarter 8-4 - Sanne Senior (captained) displayed beautiful skill at centre, controlling the game right to the end of this first quarter. It was a tough opener, with St John's drawing with the KCS 4-4 at one stage in the first quarter.

India Tonneson and Darcy Barnes played a great role in sinking the shots for the team when they most needed it, leading 21 goals to KCS 12 goals at half time.

Lots of changes we made in the 2nd half to allow for more court time of the players - Livvie Conboy played very well in the midcourt and coupled with Freya Scarry doing an excellent job in the shooting circle in the last quarter. The 4th VII defensive unit of Georgie Radley and Georgie Smith proved too hard for the KCS shooters, and possession was carried by St John's all the way through the court.

The most valuable player of the day goes to Zanah McMahon, voted for by KCS, for her intergral part of the defensive unit and excellent drive through the court, linking the St John's side defensive in to attack so well. An absolute dream of team to watch and play so well. Thanks for letting me coach you, from Mrs Walsh.
