Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Girls-U14B vs  Cranleigh School
On: Saturday, 04 Mar 2017
Venue: at Home

This really was a game of two halves for the U14B team. The team had a slow start to the game, up against a strong Cranleigh side who brought a fast pace to the game. The first quarter finished 8-1 to Cranleigh, so St Johns knew there was work to do. At half time the score was 15-4 to Cranleigh.

After a half time talk, the girls went back out with determination to play their best. This they did, with an excellent third quarter characterised by some well timed interceptions from Georgia and Georgie, as well as Yasmin holding strong in defence. Josie also kept the play together very well down court in her position as centre. Tishy and Emilia scored 13 goals in the second half of the game, a vast improvement from the first half which is highly commendable. Unofortunately it was not quite enough, and the game finished 23-17 to Cranleigh. Yasmin Osman received MVP from the opposing team, very well done to her. Josie and Georgia in particular should also be commended for their standard of play.
