St John's School, Leatherhead 3rd VII vs Cranleigh School
On: Saturday, 04 Mar 2017
The 3rd team should be so proud of their loss this weekend. As odd as this might sound, it was definitely one of the best games of the season. The girls really considered their training from Friday's session and they really focused on moving forward for the ball. Cranleigh managed to creep ahead in the second quarter by 5 goals, but we fought hard in the third quarter to close the gap, with Cranleigh only scoring one goal in 10 minutes. Poppy Maunder moved from defence to attack after an injury, and she even sneaked in a goal! Players of the match were awarded to Jodie Brine, for her excellent work as C, and to Carolina Bond, as she was relentless in defence.
