Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Girls-U12A vs  County Preliminaries
On: Wednesday, 25 Jan 2017
Venue: Away

A highly contested tournament against schools with some very established teams.

Pleasing results with a squad of girls that learnt and improved significantly throughout the day.

Wins v's Epsom College 5-3, Priorsfield 5-4, Felton Fleet 10-0 and Danes Hill 8-0. Drew against Notre Dame 3-3, Loss v Guildford High 2-14

Highlights of the tournament were to be seen when the impenetrable wall created by Molly Wolff and Kennedy Gordon brought a clean sheet in two matches. Olivia and Zoe's timing between each other's passes created a positive positional relationship that cut up the court against Felton Fleet to find Zoe easily in a good position in the D.

Zoe and Ella must have been listening to Nick Evan's talk this week on performing under pressure as both players shot extremely well under pressure.

The attitude of players both on and off the court was very positive. This group of girls showed how fabulously supportive they are of each other as on court players were wanted to offer MVP's to reserve players. This genuine affection for each other is creating a wonderful foundation for a strong team unit moving forward.

There were spells of play today that were simply outstanding and a pleasure to watch. With a few more matches under their belt along with consistency in their rhythm, this group of girls will go from strength to strength.
