Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Junior B vs  Lord Wandsworth College
On: Saturday, 04 Feb 2017
Venue: at Home

This was one of those matches where the score line and end result (a 3-0 loss) doesn't fully reflect the game. Whilst LWC were clearly the more experienced and physical side, the St John's boys played well, matching them in the middle of the pitch for much of the game. Two goals in the first half could have been much more, were it not for some excellent keeping by Charlie Saunders. The boys lifted their efforts in the second half, working hard and getting much more sustained possession and more ball in the D, only to be found out at the last play. Tireless work from the likes of Luke Francis and Marcus Murphy saw the ball travelling, whilst the defence started to play with more cohesion and make life difficult for the opposition.

Work to do, but considering this was just the third game ever for some boys, the skills and a win will surely come soon enough.
