Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Boy's 2nd XI vs  Lord Wandsworth College
On: Saturday, 04 Feb 2017
Venue: at Home

This was a convincing win for the 2nd XI. Lord Wandsworth had some good players, were physically strong in the tackle and did not allow St John's much time. St John's were on top from the start but the final touch was not there and it took some time for them to take the lead through Sam Attard. Lord Wandsworth came back and had many chances but Lawrence Deakin in goal played exceptionally well. Just before half time Jasper Tressider scored which gave us some breathing space.

Lord Wandsworth started the second half very well and spent most of the time in the St John's twenty-five, but some good tackling by Harry Russell, Josh Williams and Hugo Allert kept them at bay. Some more team changes then took place and it looked as though Lord Wandsworth were tiring and the last quarter was all St John's, with Keiran Davidson scoring from a short corner, Jasper scoring a second and then completing a hat-trick following a good shot by Keiran at another short corner.

It was a good all round team performance, with Luke Frost and Harry Sweetland playing well in defence, Harry Thomas controlling the middle and up front Ross Adams having some good runs down the right and Harry Lynn always looking dangerous in the middle. Tom Paulson and Martin Vogel also looked dangerous towards the end.
