Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Girls-U14B vs  Latymer Upper School
On: Saturday, 11 Mar 2017
Venue: at Home

The team knew they had to make a strong start against Latymer, and this they certainly did. Movement was good down the court, with strong accurate passing. Tishy Rao had an excellent first quarter and was very confident in the shooting circle. St John's lead 7-1 at the end of the first quarter.

However, Latymer came back with determination in the second quarter. They made some brilliantly timed interceptions, and by half time the gap had closed considerably to 12-10. In the second half of the game, St John's picked up the pace and communicated better down the court, especially around the shooting circle. Josie Keey and Sophie Rose Russell gave great support to the attacking players, and the final score was 17-12 to St John's. The standard of play was high, and this victory has rebuilt confidence ready for the last game of the season.

Today's MVP went to Josie Keey. All girls played very well indeed, though Tishy must also get a special mention for her shooting accuracy. Well done to all involved.
