Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Girls-U15C vs  Latymer Upper School
On: Saturday, 11 Mar 2017
Venue: Away

The 15Cs had trained hard for this match because we knew it was going to be competitive. Unfortunately on the morning, illness struck so our unbeaten team had to adjust and re-group. Fliss moved to GS and Lilly to GK, special thanks to Lilly who moved to GK with 2 minutes notice and having not played that position before.

The match started and the St John's fire ignited, Amelia and Fliss were unstoppable in the first quarter scoring 8 goals in rapid concession. Latymer fought back but we were equal to it and the first quarter ended 11-4. In the second quarter, the intensity of the first quarter showed and Latymer got into their stride, they scored 4 goals to our 5.

After a half time cool down and fruit break, we came back and the game got quicker still. Every ball was fought for and every pass chased down. St John's were not backing down and the quarter ended 22-11. Zoe set the shooters a challenge to score 5 goals each in the last quarter and they answered this challenge, the game ended 32 - 13. Well done to the girls for another win, one game to go to a complete unbeaten season! Special congratulations to Lilly, who was voted MVP by Latymer, despite them having no knowledge of her lack of experience at GK.
