St John's School, Leatherhead Boys-U12A vs  Lingfield Notre Dame School

The U12A boys hockey team had a tough fixture against Lingfield Notre Dame at home. The match started well with the St John's boys defending well and breaking at speed. Lingfield took an early lead but this did not dishearten the boys as they continued to fight hard for the ball. Buster O'Callaghan, Filip Lissah and George Perry where all playing extremely well in midfield. The first half finished 2-0 to Lingfield.

Second half started in a similar fashion. Lucas Atkin was having an outstanding game in goal for the St John's team pulling of some incredible double saves and was quick of the mark when Lingfield broke through. A nice goal from Luc Gamber lifted the spirit of the team but unfortunately the match finished 4-1 to Lingfield. The team where disappointed but fought hard and never stopped running. They look forward to their next fixture away at Reigate Grammar.
