St John's School, Leatherhead Boys-U14E vs Harrow School
On: Saturday, 04 Mar 2017
Within minutes of the kick off, Harrow scored their first goal. However, St John's was undaunted and played some excellent football for the remaining first half. The team's defensive play was so good that Harrow struggled to get back near the goal, and, when they did, some excellent saves from Luke Horner-Long meant that they remained 1 goal down for most of the second half. St John's almost equalised with ten minutes to go, but the ball came off the cross bar and the team missed a chance. Once Harrow scored a second goal, St John's struggled to keep them at bay, and a further two goals meant a final victory for Harrow of 4 - 0. St John's played extremely well as a team and were ably captained by Hugo Battershill. It was a most enjoyable match the boys did their school proud.
