4.Mar.17 Vs Harrow

Lost 1-5

This was a keenly contested fixture that saw our north London visitors triumph by 5 goals to 1.

Having secured a pitch with only a modest additional swimming pool in one corner, the Eagles showed too much respect early on and conceded two goals in the first 7 minutes. The boys showed real spirit to battle back into the game and the remainder of the first half saw chances at both ends go begging. Harrow continued to press, but St John's looked increasingly dangerous on the counter.

The boys in green had the bit between their teeth, and were rewarded inside the first minute of the second half as Harris's shot deflected off Lyons and bobbled into the corner of the goal. 1-2. Game on. In a reversal of roles, it was Harrow who now hit St John's on the break, twice, as the Eagles searched for additional goals. 1-4, which became 1-5 as one final Harrovian attack saw them score with the last kick of the game. 1-5 and full time.

Well done to everyone who represented the 5ths today, and one final thanks to Mr K with the 4ths who resisted an all out asset strip, very pleased to hear Louis C went so well!
