Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Boys-U12B vs  Wilson's School
On: Saturday, 04 Mar 2017
Venue: at Home

In the penultimate match of the season, our young Eagles put in a fantastic performance, with a lot of heart, grit and determination. There were some impressive displays of skill and speed by Archie, Will and Thomas, not to mention some (once again) outstanding saves by Luke. The boys were alert, awake and eager to give Wilson's a shake up. Taking the team by surprise, early in the first half, we saw some fantastic attacking pressure from St. John's. Our defence remained strong with some commendable tackles from Rhys and Ben. Alas, Wilson's managed to finish well, leading 1-0 at half time. Despite the conditions, the boys continued to battle on with some great shots on goal by Jacob. It was great to see how much these boys have improved across the stretch of the season, and putting into practice skills and game-play knowledge they had previously learnt in training.

Unfortunately, it seemed that the half time break had awoken the Wilson giants and although our defence remained strong, Wilson's utilised some opportunities and managed to score on several occasions.

The boys showed impressive grit and motivation in conditions that were less than ideal, each and every individual displayed new skills and showed progress and the final score of 8-0 is far from reflective of the team's performance.
