Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Boys-U15C vs  Radley College
On: Saturday, 28 Jan 2017
Venue: at Home

The U15Cs began the match against Radley with confidence. Passing was slick to start with and both wingmen - White and Bell - put a great deal of pressure on both left and right backs. Very quickly St. John's went ahead 1-0 with a goal by Turner but it could have been a lot more very quickly as Turner and Tudor hit the crossbar, post or fumbled the ball in the box. Radley then scored a great goal which went in the top corner of the net, something Grey could do very little about in goal. Grey had a good match in goal, but was rarely troubled, but nevertheless his presence was dominant.

Whilst the first half progressed, St. John's maintained 80% of possession, the midfield was a little loose and big gaps led to ineffectual attacks. This was changed in the second half when the formation changed from 4-4-2 to 3-5-2. From this point on the goals came raining down upon Radley. The boys were not complacent as Brown, Parker and Coulter protected the backline with superb skill. The final tally was 7-1, with Austin Bell scoring a hatrick, Cloughley and White also scoring with Radley also conceding an own goal. It was a terrific performance and one certainly to build upon.
