Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Boys-U15B vs  Radley College
On: Saturday, 28 Jan 2017
Venue: at Home

The boys put in a fantastic effort in our 3rd home game, and 4th match of the season. Having spent a lot of time during training on fitness, space and structure, it was time to put all their efforts into practice in a performance that would stun our opposition. A bold, new formation was attempted at the request of Captain Michael Haddad. Although this structural change didn't create any obvious weaknesses (thanks to some fantastic saves from goalkeeper Harry Forster-Scorgie and strong tackles from our rock in the middle, Luke French), it perhaps didn't allow us to up the goal tally as much as we would have liked. A hat-trick from Sam Smedley, a great goal from Aron Tubman and a fantastic goal from (possibly) Jonny Pagett meant the boys secured an impressive 5-1 win against Radley.

The team continue to grow from strength to strength both as a strong, cohesive unit, and as individuals. Luke Garlick and James Dale both gave impressive displays at CDM and Will Aldridge-Bate and Michael Haddad showed great resilience with endless shots at goal throughout the match.

Both coaches have been hugely impressed by the commitment and attitude all members of the team take in their approach to training and to fixtures. The boys should be commended for their fantastic efforts and hopefully the season continues to show the strong, positive results the team are certainly worthy of.
