St John's School, Leatherhead Boys-U14D vs King's College School (KCS), Wimbledon
On: Saturday, 26 Nov 2016
The U14D team struggled against a strong and hard-hitting KCS Wimbledon side at the weekend. Although the Ds were missing some players it would be unrealistic to suggest the outcome would have been different against a school with more boys to call on who were very well organised. St John's struggled at the start to impose themselves on KCS although they improved throughout the match. That improvement was rewarded with a try halfway through the second half for Alex O'Brien after a rare period of pressure near the KCS line. Joshua Tinkler slotted over the conversion. The boys all stuck to their task with Henry Walton standing out for his tenacious tackling and rucking.
