Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Girls-U12C vs  Cranleigh School
On: Saturday, 12 Nov 2016
Venue: Away

The U12C hockey side knew this game was going to be tough. Cranleigh Prep School get to work with their hockey players from the age of 7 and we knew they were going to be a well drilled side. Fay Shawkat for St John's had a great game in defence and Amica Van Strien saved some incredible goals! Both players were given the MVP award at the end of the game for their outstanding performances. Unfortunately, the girls went down 5-0 at half time and we had much to reckon with in the second half. There were many more attacking opportunities in the second half and Ella Bromfield made some tremendous efforts bringing the ball down the pitch. More options were needed in attack and it will be something the girls will look to focus on and we come back on Monday! Final score 8-0 to Cranleigh. We look forward to inviting St Mary's Ascot to St John's next weekend.
