Cranleigh away proved to be a tough and competitive fixture for St John's U15A team. Both sides started off well and saw numerous chances in each half of the pitch. Phoebe McCutcheon, Abbie Tate and Lilia Evans stepped up with tenacity and speed to put the home side on their toes. Nonetheless, at the close of the second half the score remained tied at 0-0. Early in the second half Hattie Allen fell injured and had to be taken off the pitch. Lilia Evans stepped into the net and the entire squad worked hard to stay in the game despite the set back. Defensive strength and sheer willpower kept the girls in the game and the score 0-0 at the final whistle.
