Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Girls-U12A vs  Churcher's College
On: Saturday, 26 Nov 2016
Venue: at Home

What a great win this morning! The St John's U12A VII hockey side were on fire once again being up 3-0 at Half Time against Churcher's College and 7-1 at full time. Siena Cunningham was the player of the day scoring 4 answered goals - Cunningham was unstoppable in the attacking semi-circle with Naomi George and Poppy McCutcheon supporting flawlessly. Caitlin Bessinger scored a lovely little goal in the second half, with a beautiful pass across the D from McCutcheon. Both Molly Wolff and Sophie Clemett worked tirelessly in defence and were able to step up heavily into the attacking half at times. During the first half, the St John's side struggled to finish off the final strike at goal; but were ruthless in the second half and could have scored a number of goals towards the end. Eloisa Jansa played very well down the left hand side of the pitch and managed to make some excellent passes to McCutcheon at the top of the D. Amy Brunton, our goal keeper, saved a few of Churcher's goal in the first half, and performed well under pressure in the second half which she should be commended for. We managed to let in one goal in the second half, with a strong drive from one of the Churcher's strikers. However, the girls should be congratulated for their work out on the pitch today, and well done to Cunningham, being voted player of the match by the Churcher's College opposition.
