Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Girls 3rd XI vs  Ardingly College
On: Saturday, 15 Oct 2016
Venue: Away

After a rather lengthy journey on the bus the only good thing to come out of the first half was a well taken goal by Chloe and an excellent save from Louisa following a counter attack from Ardingly. Freya and Daisy summed up the first half with the words shocking. This shows how far the 3rd XI squad have come. They are not content unless they are playing controlled hockey and moving the ball at pace. This they managed to achieve in the second half and what a difference that made. An excellent move by George down the right wing with a strong cross to the top of the D which was met full on by Freya to wrong foot the goalkeeper. Two quick goals by Jemima with one working superbly from a short corner put St John's in the ascendency. Ardingly managed to pull one goal back, but St John's retaliated with Annie quickly passing the ball down the left wing for Becky to cross in to an unmarked Chloe who cleverly blocked the goalkeeper and then manoevered a quick tap in. Two more goals from Jemima and Freya capped what was a wonderful second half of hockey. Well done to both Anya and Georgie stepping up to the plate from the 4th X1.The dominance of our defence and midfield allowed the attackers to play with freedom and the final scoreline could have read so many more.

Well done girls
