Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Girls-U14B vs  Reigate Grammar School
On: Saturday, 25 Feb 2017
Venue: Away

St John's began the game with some excellent play down court, despite cold and windy conditions. Reigate, however, really picked up their game and lead 7-6 at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter of the game was not as strong as the first overall, but some well timed interceptions from Georgia and Georgie allowed St John's to pull away slightly meaning the half time score was 9-8 to St John's.

Both teams fought hard in the second half of the game. Defence on both sides was tight, with Yasmin remaining very strong in her goal keeper position and regained possession through some excellent rebounds. The third quarter was again very close, with St John's leading 15-13.

It was therefore all to play for in the final quarter. Two goals were scored per team in what was a fiercely competitive end to the game. There was some lovely play down court between Josie and Sophie Rose. St John's remained strong and won the game 17-15. This was a very closely fought match, and a very well deserved win meaning the team remain unbeaten. Well done to all players.
