Match Report
St John's School, Leatherhead Girls-U15A vs  Cranbrook School
On: Saturday, 19 Nov 2016
Venue: at Home

After a great result against Cranleigh last week the U15a's went into this weekends fixture against Cranbrook in high spirits. Right from the start the St John's girls dominated the possession, leading to several chances inside the Cranbrook circle. It was a frustrating first half with St John's having plenty of chances but not able to capitalize. Eventually Lauren Mapstone was in the right place to squeeze the ball past the Cranbrook goal keeper, This seemed to relax the St John's girls which encouraged them to play a free flowing style of hockey. First half finished 2-0 with a nice finish from Abbie Tait securing the second goal.

Second half got underway in a similar fashion St John's controlling the play and having several opportunities to score. As the game continued and the St John's team continued to grow in confidence this lead to Cranbrook having a couple of counter attack chances but great defending from Georgia Jeffcott, Zoe Bell, Iona Cochrane and Phoebe McCutcheon stopped any chances they had.

Two further goals from Abbie and Lauren left the final score 4-0 to St John's and there first win of the hockey season. Congratulations girls for your hard work and a well deserved victory.
