St John's started the game uphill and found the opening minutes tough and eventually gave away a penalty for Haileybury to slot an easy penalty to take the lead 3-0.
A line out from a kick to touch allowed St John's to drive it 10 metres before Charlie Hillier broke off to score in the corner 3-5.
From a dangerous penalty given away by Haileybury, St Johns opted for another lineout where a strong driving mail created an opportunity for Tom Wood to cut a line and crash over 3-10.
Another lineout drive and again Charlie Hilier appeared to claim his second of the day. This one was converted by Ben Bound to take the score to 3-17.
After several phases and two yellow cards for Haileybury, St Johns took a scrum and allowed Ben Bound to lift a great pass to Tom Wood to allow him so show great pace and strength and score under the post which Ben Bound converted 3-24.
Haileybury got an opportunistic penalty whilst a great kick allowed them to bring the score to 6-24 as the half time whistle blew.
Almost immediately after the start several strong runs from all positions allowed Tom Wood to score his third of the day which was converted by Ben Bound to make it 6-31.
After some great defence from St Johns they managed to keep Haileybury out. From a good exit a perfectly timed pass from Ben Bound allowed Tom Wood to pick a great line and score his fourth of the day 6-36.
Great persistence from Haileybury gave them the score they deserved to put the score 11-36.
With the last play of the game Ben Bound showed some great hands for Blake Fildes to score in the corner as the final whistle blew and leave the score 11-41.
A great tactical display from the U16's with several B team players having exceptional performances which will make selection very tough next week
